Dyer County Escapee Captured by Marshals in Illinois

Memphis, TN – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces capture of second escaped Dyer County prisoner. Michael Bolden was arrested last night by the U.S. Marshals in Rock Island, III. They were working from information developed by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
On August 30, at the Dyer County Jail Antoine Thomas and Michael Bolden overpowered and injured a Correctional Officer, and then escaped over a fence. Thomas was being held on charges of Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Resisting Arrest. Bolden was being held on Failure to Appear in court on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Scheduled 1 Narcotics and Resisting Arrest.
On August 31, Thomas was arrested in Dyersburg by the Dyer County Sheriff's Office and the Gulf Coast Task Force.
Bolden was taken into custody without incident.
"The U.S. Marshals were very glad we could assist in bringing both fugitives back into custody," said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller. "This capture should serve notice that Marshals' resources are far and wide."
The Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) has offices in Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama. The West Tennessee office consists of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Investigators with the Jackson Police Department, Agents with the Tennessee Department of Correction, Investigators with the Memphis Police Department, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office and the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
