The U.S. Marshals Service Gang Enforcement model is a robust, focused, and cost effective multi-level approach that targets violent fugitives with gang affiliations as the centerpiece of its methodology. The U.S. Marshals Service Gang Enforcement model utilizes the extremely effective U.S. Marshals Service fugitive task force network to coordinate the efforts and the expertise of various federal, state, and local agencies to execute its initiatives.
This approach allows Gang Enforcement to remove violent gang members, weapons, and drugs, from our communities in an effective, focused, and cost efficient manner.
The U.S. Marshals Service also is a key member of the Department of Justice's Project Safe Neighborhood's Anti-Gang Training Program, National Gang Targeting, Enforcement, and Coordination Center, and the National Gang Intelligence Center.
