U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller Announces the Arrest of Marvin Crigler

Memphis, TN – At the direction of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Marvin Crigler was arrested in St. Louis earlier today for Vehicular Homicide, DWI, Vehicular Assault and Aggravated Assault. These charges stem from an incident on November 6, 2019. A deadly accident occurred near Arlington TN on I-40 near exit 26. Tennessee Department of Transportation contractors Jared Helton and Justin Stafford were killed and State Trooper with the Tennessee Highway Patrol LeJulian Roy was injured.
Warrants were issued by Shelby County for Crigler's arrest on the above listed charges. Investigators with the Memphis office tracked the fugitive to an address in St. Louis. Deputy Marshals in St. Louis took him into custody without incident.
"We are pleased that Marvin Crigler will be brought back to Shelby County to face charges for the TDOT contractors who were tragically killed and the injury of the Trooper. I especially want to thank the Deputy Marshals in St. Louis for this capture. The Marshals Service is committed to bringing fugitives to justice no matter where they run," said Marshal Miller.
