U.S. Marshals Arrest Maine Fugitive in Florida

Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service, Maine Violent Offender Task Force announce the arrest of Dylan Young, 52, of Wiscasset, Maine in Tampa, Florida. Young was wanted by the Wiscasset Police Department on a warrant for Failure to Appear, Aggravated Domestic Violence Assault issued on January 21st, 2022, by the Lincoln County Superior Court.

Through a collaborative effort, investigators determined that Young had fled Maine and was believed to be in central Florida. U.S. Marshals Service Task Force members from the Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force were able to safely apprehend Young at an address in Tampa without incident. Young is charged as a fugitive from justice pending his extradition back to Maine.

The USMS Maine Violent Offender Task Force was assisted by the USMS Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Wiscasset, Maine Police Department. The U.S. Marshals Service Maine Violent Offender Task Force is comprised of members of the U.S. Marshals Service, Maine State Police, Maine Department of Corrections, Biddeford Police Department and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
