U.S. Marshals Arrest Man Wanted for Domestic Battery Against Infant

Fort Smith, AR – Tuesday afternoon the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Thomas David Hagy in Fort Smith at the Hydration Station on Wheeler Ave. Hagy was wanted by the State of Arkansas for a Probation/Abscond warrant and a separate warrant by the Fort Smith Police Department for Domestic Battery in the Second Degree – Victim under the age of 12 years old.
The warrant by the Fort Smith Police Department (PD) stemmed from an investigation involving an infant child that was initiated by Fort Smith PD on May 19th, 2026. The Fort Smith Police Department’s partnership with the U.S. Marshals allows federal, state, and local agencies to work together in bringing the worst offenders in our community to justice. This allows for quick resolution and capture of dangerous fugitives within the River Valley.
U.S. Marshals Service task forces combine the efforts of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to locate and arrest our nation’s most dangerous fugitives. These task forces are dedicated to reducing violent crime by locating and apprehending wanted criminals. They also serve as the central point for agencies to share information on fugitive matters. In 2024, the U.S. Marshals arrested 74,222 fugitives, cleared 88,765 warrants, which averaged out to around 297 fugitives arrested per day in 2024 alone.
