U.S. Marshals Arrest Two New Hampshire Fugitives and Recover Three Missing Children

Concord, NH – The United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force is happy to report that after a lengthy investigation, State of New Hampshire fugitives, Michael Williams, 32 years-of-age and Kaitlyn Lee, 27 years-of-age were both arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Dellrose, Tennessee. Three missing children, ages, 12, 9 and 3 years-of-age were also recovered at the scene of the arrest.

The assistance of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force was requested in October 2018, when the custody of the children was granted to another relative and arrest warrants were issued. At that time, Williams and Lee had fled New Hampshire with the three minor children. As a result of the situation surrounding the custody of the children, Williams has been indicted by a Carroll County Grand Jury with perjury, interference with custody, breach of bail, obstruction of government administration, criminal threatening with a weapon and resisting arrest. The same grand jury indicted Ms. Lee with the offense of perjury.

This was a relentless investigation which was conducted for over a year and a half with the full cooperation of several law enforcement agencies in New Hampshire, including the Madbury Police Department, the New Hampshire State Police, as well as the Carroll County and Strafford County Sheriff's Offices and County Attorneys Offices. The leads in this case spanned the eastern half of the United States and beyond, with each lead requiring countless hours of investigation.

Today, as a result of the most recent investigative efforts by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force from both Huntsville, Alabama and Chattanooga, Tennessee and countless members of the their task force, including members of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office both Lee and Williams were arrested without incident at a residence located in the 100 block of Short Creek in Dellrose, Tennessee. The three minor children were recovered at the scene and turned over to the Tennessee Department of Children's Services, where they will be held pending their return to their legal guardian as soon as possible.

Lee and Williams were booked into the Lincoln County Jail and charged as fugitives from justice based on their outstanding New Hampshire arrest warrants and eventual return to New Hampshire.

Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 7,908 arrests (Updated as of 12/16/2019). These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 8 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
