Madison, WI – On Thursday, June 25, 2026, the United States Marshals Service (USMS) task forces in Western Arkansas and Western Wisconsin arrested Keith Newton in Madison, Wisconsin. Newton had been on the run from law enforcement since September of 2022. He was wanted on federal charges for Distribution of Amphetamine and by the State of Arkansas for Absconding from Parole while being on supervision for the sale of narcotics.
Newton was charged in September of 2022 by the FBI and the Western District of Arkansas Federal Court for the Distribution of Amphetamine, and the FBI requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service to locate Newton and bring him to justice. Since receiving the case, the USMS has worked tirelessly with federal, state, and local law enforcement to locate Newton. Following an intensive investigation that lasted nearly four years, information was developed which led investigators to believe that Newton fled the State of Arkansas and was residing in Wisconsin. The Great Lake Regional Task Force, led by the U. S. Marshals in Wisconsin, provided immediate assistance and Newton was taken into custody today in Madison, WI.
Newton will be extradited back to Arkansas to face his pending federal and state charges.
