U.S. Marshals Led International Collaboration to Arrest Violent Fugitive Wanted for Murder in Puerto Rico

San Juan, PR – An investigation led by the U.S. Marshals Service Puerto Rico Violent Offender Task Force (PRVOTF), along with the Puerto Rico Police Bureau's (PRPD) and in close collaboration with the Direccion Especial de Busqueda de Rebeldes y Profugos (DNCD) resulted in the arrest March 9 in the Dominican Republic of a violent fugitive wanted for murder in Puerto Rico.

Miguel Isaac Miguel Jiménez, aka Tico Tico, was successfully extradited today to Puerto Rico and turned over to the Puerto Rico Police Department.

Jimenez is accused of participating in a shooting that resulted in the murder of an individual on May 13, 2023, in San Juan. After the shooting, Jimenez is alleged to have fled to the Dominican Republic in effort to evade capture.

Jimenez was arrested by D.N.C.D agents in Sector Arroyo Barril, Autopista Nagua-Samana, Dominican Republic.  Jimenez has been wanted by authorities in Puerto Rico since May 17, 2023, on first-degree murder and illegal weapons warrants. At the time of the arrest Jimenez had an illegal firearm in his possession.

“The U.S. Marshals Service will never stop pursuing violent fugitives who seek to evade justice,” said Wilmer Ocasio-Ibarra, U.S. Marshal for the District of Puerto Rico. our office will continue working hand in hand with authorities in the Dominican Republic and our law enforcement partners to locate and apprehend these violent individuals.”
