U.S. Marshals in Memphis Capture Georgia Woman Wanted for Murder

Memphis, TN – On October 23, 2023, U.S. Marshals in Memphis captured a Georgia woman wanted for murder. Sirenity Hagan, 18, was being sought for a September 12th homicide in Hinesville, Georgia, that resulted in arrest warrants issued for Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm.

The Hinesville Police Department requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Savannah, Georgia, to locate and apprehend Hagan. Information was developed that Hagan was possibly in the Memphis area. The U.S. Marshals Service Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force was asked to investigate further.

Around 11 a.m., on October 23rd, U.S. Marshals and the Memphis Police Department Fugitive Apprehension Team went to an address in the 1800 block of The Oaks Avenue in Memphis.

Investigators knocked and announced at the door, and occupants of the house began to come outside. Moments later, Hagan surrendered and was placed under arrest without incident or injury. She was transported to Shelby County Jail East to await extradition to Georgia.

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task (TRVFTF) Force is a multi-agency task force within Western Tennessee. The TRVFTF has offices in Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and the Tennessee Department of Correction Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
