U.S. Marshals 'Operation Ready or Not, Here We Come' Nets Seven Non-Compliant Sex Offenders

Jackson, TN – The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force in Jackson recently conducted "Operation Ready or Not, Here We Come, "a 30-day fugitive apprehension initiative focusing on sex offenders with outstanding warrants in Jackson and the surrounding counties.

Arrests during "em>Operation Ready or Not, Here We Come

  • Emilio Contreras, age 51 Violation of Sex Offender Registry

  • Bill Coop, age 45 Violation of Community Supervision for Life

  • Dakota Garza, age 32 Violation of Community Supervision for Life

  • Eddie William Houk, age 67 Violation of Sex Offender Registry

  • Thomas Mayhew, age 41 Violation of Sex Offender Registry

  • Bobby Reynolds, age 51 Violation of Sex Offender Registry

  • Dwight Rogers, age 63 Violation of Parole, Violation of Sex Offender Registry

Sex offenders have a legal requirement to comply with conditions of the sex offender registry laws," said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller. "If they dot,n' operations like 'Ready or Not, Here We Come' will find you.”

Many of the offenses that sex offenders are prosecuted for involve victims that are children. If convicted, offenders are required by the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act to register as a sex offender. This further helps protect children from sexual exploitation, violent crime, child abuse and child pornography. This effort also helps promote internet safety for children and honors the memory of Adam Walsh and other child crime victims. The United States Marshals Service is the primary agency responsible for investigating violations of the Adam Walsh Act.

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF) is a multi-agency task force within Western Tennessee. The Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force has offices in Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and the Tennessee Department of Corrections Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
