U.S. Marshals Service Awards Purple Heart to Southern Ohio Deputy

Columbus, OH – A local deputy U.S. Marshal was awarded a Purple Heart during a ceremony Monday at the Joseph P. Kinneary United States Courthouse.
U.S. Marshals Service Director Gadyaces S. Serralta presented the Purple Heart to Deputy U.S. Marshal Daniel Tebo Jr. of the Southern District of Ohio for injuries sustained in the line of duty.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Tebo was injured while executing an arrest warrant in Trotwood, Ohio in December of 2024. The arrest warrant was for an assailant wanted for felonious assault. During the attempted arrest Tebo was wounded by gunfire.
