U.S. Marshals Task Force Finds Murder Fugitive in Texas

Cedar Park, TX – A coordinated fugitive investigation by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF) in Memphis, TN, The Shelby County Sheriffs Office Fugitive Apprehension Team (SCSO FAT) and The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) in Austin, TX has led to the arrest of Devin Trust, 21, on 2 counts First-Degree Murder and 2 counts of Criminal Attempt out of Shelby County, TN.
On December 14th, 2023, four victims suffered from gunshot wounds off Riverdale Rd in Memphis. Two of the four victims succumbed from their wounds. Police interviewed the two surviving victims which stated that two masked and one unmasked subject approached the victims in illegal activity that ending in the shooting. The two surviving victims were able to identify Trust as one of the shooters.
On March 3, 2024, the Criminal Court of Shelby County issued a warrant for Trust arrest on 2 counts of First-Degree Murder and 2 counts of Criminal Attempt. The case was adopted by the Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force.
On March 7th, Trust was arrested by the LSFTF in the 3100 block of Colonial Parkway, Cedar Park. Trust was non-compliant during the apprehension which non-lethal force was used. Trust and was transported to the local jail and will await the extradition process back to Shelby County, TN.
The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force within Western Tennessee. The Western Tennessee Division of the TRVFTF has offices in Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and the Tennessee Department of Corrections Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
