Las Vegas, NV – On July 8, 2026, the U.S. Marshals Service Nevada Violent Offender Task Force arrested a suspect wanted by the State of Utah Adult Probation and Parole for Parole Violation, with an underlying charge of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.
Curtis Earl Heisler, 38, is alleged to have been in a pursuit with the Utah Highway Patrol on May 30, 2026. Heisler made statements indicating that he was armed and dangerous. Following the pursuit, Heisler was able to elude law enforcement.
The State of Utah Adult Probation and Parole and the Utah Highway Patrol requested assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service Utah Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team.
Through the course of the investigation, information was developed, indicating that Heisler was in the Las Vegas area, and the Nevada Violent Offender Task Force was asked to assist with his apprehension.
At approximately 09:00 PM, Heisler was apprehended by the Nevada Violent Offender Task Force in the 2500 block of Las Vegas Blvd S. Heisler was transported to the Clark County Detention Center where he will remain until he is extradited.

The U.S. Marshals Service collaborates with multiple Federal, State, and Local law enforcement agencies. U.S. Marshal Gary Schofield said, “The investigative efforts by all the agencies involved contributed to this successful arrest. Crossing state lines only adds miles, not protection. No matter how many state lines are crossed, our commitment to public safety remains the same. This fugitive’s attempt to evade justice came to an end.”
The Nevada Violent Offender Task Force comprises of law enforcement officers from the U.S. Marshals Service; Carson City Sheriff’s Office; Boulder City Police Department; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; City of Las Vegas DPS; City of North Las Vegas City Marshals; Clark County District Attorney’s Office; Douglas County Sheriff’s Office; Drug Enforcement Administration; Henderson Police Department; Homeland Security Investigations; Immigration and Customs Enforcement; Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department; Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office; Lyon County Sheriff’s Office; Mineral County Sheriff’s Office; Nevada Department of Corrections; Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles; Nevada Gaming Control Board; Nevada State Police; North Las Vegas Police Department; Nye County Sheriff’s Office; Reno Police Department; Sparks Police Department; Washoe County District Attorney’s Office; and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
