The Honorable Johnson Teehee II was sworn in as the U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Oklahoma on August 28, 2026, following his confirmation by the United States Senate.
United States Marshal Teehee oversees all United States Marshals Service operations in the Eastern District of Oklahoma, including federal judicial security, court security, fugitive investigations and apprehension, sex offender and missing child investigations, prisoner operations, asset forfeiture, and service of process.
Marshal Teehee began his law enforcement career as a Police Officer with the Vian Police Department in Vian, Oklahoma, in 1985, before joining the Muskogee Police Department in 1987. During his time with Muskogee Police Department, he worked in several areas of the Department including criminal investigations, crimes against children, the gang and drug special investigation unit, as well as patrol. Mr. Teehee was promoted to Assistant Chief in May 2003, where he was responsible for all operational functions of the Department as well as budget oversight. In July 2018, Mr. Teehee was selected to serve as the Chief of Police, and served in that role for 8 years. While serving as the Chief of Police, the Muskogee Police Department received national recognition for the first-ever implementation of the life-saving program known as the Police/Medical Support Unit.
Mr. Teehee is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy Session #205. He is a member of the FBI National Academy Associates as well as a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Mr. Teehee has served as board member for National Network for Children’s Advocacy Centers, and the recipient of numerous recognitions and awards including the Patriotic Employer Award from the Department of Defense. He has also received national recognition for the “Muskogee Model,” which is the process of dealing with critical incidents.
