Jackson, TN – The reinstatement of the Student Volunteer Internship Program (SVIP) by the United States Marshals Service (USMS) in the Jackson and Memphis Offices this year has resulted in the completion of the program by students from Freed-Hardeman University and Lane College.

Memphis, TN – Stanley Self, 23, of Memphis, who was wanted by the Drew (Mississippi) Police Department for Conspiracy to Commit Murder was captured by the U.S. Marshals yesterday. Self also had a Felony Evading Arrest warrant out of Shelby County. Tyreece Miller, U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Tennessee, made the announcement today.

Jackson, TN – On October 19, 2022, Robert Roy Thompson, 35, of Corinth, MS, was captured by the U.S. Marshals Service on a federal violation warrant and a state warrant for a sex crime against a child out of Mississippi. This 30-day initiative, called Operation North Star (ONS) resulted in the arrest of 122 fugitives, sex offenders, and violent criminals wanted in the Bluff City.
