Painesville, OH – Earlier today, The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) led, Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Juan Carlos Munoz, 52, who was wanted by the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on kidnapping and gross sexual imposition charges. The warrant was issued on January 11, 2002.

Cleveland, OH – United States Marshal Pete Elliott announces the successful conclusion of Operation TriDENT in the city of Cleveland. For 30 days, members of the U.S.

New Orleans, LA – Late this morning, members of the United States Marshals Service (USMS) in New Orleans, Louisiana arrested Shawn Brooks, 37.  Brooks has been on the run from law enforcement since 2013.    

In 2013 a warrant was issued for Brooks from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office for 15 counts of sexually related offenses, involving minors.

Cleveland, OH – Late this afternoon, members of the United States Marshals led Missing Child Unit (MCU) recovered 4 missing children in two separate cases.

Akron, OH – Early this morning, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Demario McCall, 41. McCall was wanted by the Akron Police Department for murder, having weapons while under disability, and carrying concealed weapons.

Dayton, OH – United States Marshal Michael Black of the Southern District of Ohio and United States Marshal Pete Elliott of the Northern District of Ohio announce the arrest of John Lamar Armstrong, 50. Armstrong was wanted by the East Cleveland Police Department for aggravated murder, and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office for rape.

Cleveland, OH – United States Marshal Pete Elliott announces new information in the cold case fugitive investigation into Lester Eubanks.  Since 2016 the United States Marshals Service (USMS) in the Northern District of Ohio has been on the hunt for Eubanks.  

Boston, MA – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), District of Massachusetts Fugitive Task Force (MAFTF) announces the arrest of Webster Portalatin-Castro, 37, who was wanted for rape of a person under the age of 18. The warrant was issued on June 3, 2025, from the Cleveland Municipal Court in Cleveland, OH.

Boston, MA – Earlier this morning, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), District of Massachusetts Fugitive Task Force (MAFTF) arrested Webster Portalatin-Castro, 37, who was wanted for rape of a person under the age of 18. 

Wheeling, WV – Late this morning, members of the U.S. Marshals led Mountain State Fugitive Task Force arrested wanted fugitive Devin Roberts, 42.  Roberts was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for murder as well as by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department for probation violations.  

Cleveland, OH – Today, the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Jacob Hughes, 61. Hughes was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder.

Cleveland, OH – Late this afternoon, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) along with the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s (OSHP) Aviation Unit and Special Response Team arrested Gianni Gray Jr. 26.

Bedford Heights, OH – Today, the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Tyrell Chandler, 28. Chandler was wanted by the Bedford Police Department for aggravated murder.

Painesville, OH – United States Marshal Pete Elliott and Lake County Sheriff Frank Leonbruno announce the successful completion of Operation Washout in Lake County.  

Operation Washout was a six weeklong operation focused in Lake County in an attempt to bring down drug related violence and overdose incidences throughout the county.

Canton, OH – The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) is seeking the public's assistance in locating and arresting Demetres Givens (42) and Jamie Thompson (37). Givens and Thompson are wanted by the Canton Police Department for involuntary manslaughter and endangering children.

Cleveland, OH – This week, the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Jaylin Tyler, 20, Anthony Ortiz, 28, and Quinterious Parker, 23.

Atlanta, GA – Late last night, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) in Atlanta, GA, along with the Atlanta Police Department, arrested wanted fugitive Tyrone Lamarr Hoskins, 34.  Hoskins was wanted by three different agencies in northern Ohio.  He was wanted by the U.S.

Cleveland, OH – U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott announced today that the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) has surpassed 60,000 arrests.

Massillon, OH – This morning, members of the US Marshals led, Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Unique Thorn, 26, in Massillon, OH. Thorn was wanted through the Baltimore City Police Department for murder.
