Washington, DC - May 25, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) recognized National Missing Children’s Day, established to honor the commitment to child safety and the importance of locating and protecting missing children. 

Cheyenne, WY – U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers from the Wyoming Fugitive Task Force and members of the Evansville Police Department May 28 recovered a child kidnapped from Texas earlier this month.

The recovery follows a May 17 request for assistance by the Abilene Police Department.

Hartford, CT – The Hartford Police Department and the Connecticut U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Violent Fugitive Task Force today arrested two men wanted on murder charges stemming from two separate shootings in Hartford.

Philadelphia, PA - Members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force arrested Arthur Jones, 38, at a hotel in the 8800 block Tinicum Boulevard in Philadelphia. Jones was wanted by the Philadelphia Police Department for aggravated assault, robbery, and firearms possession, in relation to a May 12th incident in the 2100 block of Oxford Street.

Youngstown, OH – The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) announces the arrest of wanted fugitive Zachary Bair, 33. Bair was wanted by the Youngstown Police Department for aggravated murder.

Hartford, CT – The Connecticut U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, Willimantic SWAT team and detectives’ division today arrested a man wanted in Massachusetts on multiple charges following a December 2023 shooting incident left one man dead.

Memphis, TN – U.S. Marshals and Memphis Police announce the capture Demario Wilson, 18, of Memphis, who was wanted for a deadly shooting and robbery that took place in an apartment complex in the Raleigh area of Memphis last month.

Charles Town, WV – The U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force arrested on May 20 a Hagerstown, Maryland, man wanted for first-degree murder and other charges stemming from a January shooting in Charles Town.

Philadelphia, PA - The U.S. Marshals Service Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Arthur Jones, 38. 

Columbus, OH – The U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) SWAT arrested fugitive De Tronne Marshall-Dennis on May 17, 2024. De Tronne Marshall-Dennis was wanted by the Columbus Division of Police for allegedly shooting a victim.

New York, NY – At approximately 5:00 a.m. today, the U.S. Marshals (USMS) with the Southern District of New York (SDNY) Warrant Squad and USMS New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force (NY/NJRFTF), along with the New York Police Department (NYPD), arrested a man wanted for a May 7 murder in SoHo.  

Cleveland, OH – Today, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Leonai Johnson, 18, who was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder.

Philadelphia, PA - Members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force arrested Nafiysh Knox-Schenck, 32, at approximately 12:30 p.m. in the 600 block of West Girard Avenue.

Memphis, TN – On May 10, 2024, U.S. Marshals captured Markavis Sanders, 20, of Fayette County, Tennessee, who was wanted for a homicide in Mississippi.

New York, NY – Early this morning, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) and the New York Police Department (NYPD) with the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force (NY/NJRFTF), arrested the second of two suspects wanted by Puerto Rican authorities for attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.

Columbus, OH –  The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF), with the assistance of the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) announces the arrest of wanted fugitive Zaa Von Hameed, 26. Hameed was wanted by the Warren Police Department for aggravated murder.

Austin, TX – The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested three murder suspects in a five-day span from May 9 -14.

The Austin Police Department requested assistance from the LSFTF to locate and apprehend three suspects sought in a homicide, following an investigation conducted by the Austin Police-Homicide Unit.

Springfield, IL – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (GLRFTF), in conjunction with the Midwest Violent Fugitive Task Force (MWVFTF), arrested in Branson, Missouri, May 11 a serial rapist who has been on the run since he posted bail in 2000 and failed to appear for a court hearing in Moultrie County.

Baltimore, MD – The U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF), District of Maryland, and Anne Arundel County Police Department collaborated with the Baltimore City Police Department to recover a critically missing juvenile in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Baltimore, MD.
