The U.S. Marshals serves as the enforcement arm of the federal courts and is involved in virtually every federal law enforcement initiative.

Below are the news releases shared across the U.S. Marshals Service’s 94 districts informing the public of the day-to-day activities ranging from fugitive arrests, asset forfeitures, prisoner operations, judicial security measures as well as highlighting individual achievements and success stories within the agency.

  • Man Wanted for Killing Cleveland Mother in March of 2024 Arrested in Houston

    Houston, TX – This afternoon, members of the U.S. Marshals led Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force (GCVOFTF) arrested John Booth, 47.  Booth was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder.

    Boston, MA – The U.S. Marshals in the District of Massachusetts, working with the Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police Department, are offering a reward of up to $5,000 and asking for the public’s help in locating a man suspected of killing one person and injuring another in a Jan. 31, 2023, shooting incident at a Dollar Tree store in Brockton.

    Gallatin, TN – A U.S. Marshals task force in Tennessee, working a collateral lead from the USMS in Georgia, arrested a man wanted in Cobb County, Georgia for a slew of felony charges.

    Garfield Heights, OH – This afternoon, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Oturi Germany, 46 and Oturiana Germany, 28.  Oturi Germany was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder. Oturiana Germany was wanted by the Barberton Police Department for felonious assault.

    Charleston, WV - The U.S. Marshals Southern District of West Virginia CUFFED Task Force and West Virginia State Police (WVSP) have just ended a two-week-long operation targeting non-compliant sex offenders in Kanawha County, as well as surrounding areas. 

    Operation Cupid’s Arrow began Feb. 1 and concluded on Valentines Day.

    Concord, NH – Early this morning, members of the United States Marshals Service (USMS), District of New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force, in conjunction with the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office, and the Chiefs of Police from the Alexandria, Andover, and Hill Police Departments arrested a suspected weapons thief on Bunker Hill Road in Hill.

  • Bucks County Fugitive Wanted for Child Pornography Distribution Arrested in West Virginia

    Philadelphia, PA — Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force have arrested Mark Wills, 60, in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Wills was wanted by the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office for manufacturing and dissemination of child sexual abuse materials to children 13 and under. Over the past year.

  • U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Arrests Two Males Wanted for Homicide

    Cleveland, OH – Late last night, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Money Baccus, 18, in Akron, Ohio.  Baccus was wanted by the Canton Police Department for aggravated murder.  This morning, members of the NOVFTF arrested Deshon Baker, 24, in Euclid, Ohio.

    Jackson, TN – On February 11, 2025, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) captured a man, Amarion Mitchell, wanted for a murder in Jackson.

    On May 14, 2024, around 7:20 p.m., the Jackson Police Department investigated a shooting on Roosevelt Parkway near the Jackson Fire Department that killed one and injured other people.

    Cleveland, OH – Early this morning, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Anthony Conner, 44.  Conner was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for homicide and also wanted by authorities in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri for a shooting as well.
