U.S. Marshals Task Force Captures Three Atlanta Murder Suspects

Memphis, TN – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest of Jamar Quarles and two juveniles for Felony Murder.
On July 1, 2021, Kapri Ward was shot to death in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Warrants were issued for the arrests of Jamar Quarles, a 16-year-old juvenile, and a 15- year-old juvenile for this crime.
Working in tandem with the U.S. Marshals Office in Atlanta, Georgia, Investigators with the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force developed information that the three fugitives were at two addresses in Memphis, Tennessee. In conjunction with the Shelby County Fugitive Apprehension Team, the Multi-Agency Gang Unit, Officers from Project Safe Neighborhoods, and Shelby County Sheriff's Office Deputies all three were taken into custody without incident. One address was near 2500 Jeffries Cove and the other 8200 Dexter Ridge.
The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force in the Western District of Tennessee with offices in Memphis and Jackson. Its membership is composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and Special Agents with the Tennessee Department of Correction. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
