Man Alleged to Have Killed Up-And-Coming Cleveland Rapper Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Pennsylvania

Indiana, PA – Last night, members of the U.S. Marshals led Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force arrested Devon Jones, 25. Jones was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder.

According to the Cleveland Division of Police, on December 29, officers were dispatched to Broadway Avenue in the Broadway-Slavic Village neighborhood to investigate a person shot around 4 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a male shot multiple times inside an apartment in the 5100 block of Broadway Ave., Cleveland. The male ultimately succumbed to the gunshot injuries and was later identified as Carlos Banks, 28, an up-and-coming rapper who performed under the name KashBankx.

Devon Jones, 25, was later identified as a suspect in this fatal shooting incident and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Last night, members of the Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, with the assistance of the Indiana Borough Police, Indiana County Drug Task Force, Indiana County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana County District Attorney’s Office, and the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Jones at a residence in the 200 block of Washington Street, Indiana, Pennsylvania. Illegal narcotics were seized at the time of the arrest, which will result in Jones being charged with felony drug possession in Indiana County, PA.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “Our Marshals Service counterparts in western Pennsylvania responded swiftly to locate and arrest this Cleveland homicide suspect. Now, the grieving family of the victim in this case is one step closer to getting the justice they deserve.”
