U.S. Marshals Arrest Amazon Delivery Driver Wanted for Road Rage Murder

Philadelphia, PA - Members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force arrested Troy Johnson, 30, in the 5400 block of Norfolk Street in Philadelphia. Johnson was wanted by the Allentown Police Department for 3rd degree murder in relation to a November 21st hit and run in the 2400 block of S. fourth street in Allentown. After a verbal altercation, a 29-year-old man was intentionally struck by an Amazon delivery driver who fled the scene. The victim died that evening as a result of his injuries. On December 10th a warrant was issued for Troy Johnson of Philadelphia, and the case was delegated to the Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
At approximately 7:30 a.m., investigators from the Marshals Fugitive Task Force from Allentown and Philadelphia, along with Allentown Police Homicide detectives, proceeded to a home belonging to Johnson’s family members in Southwest Philadelphia. Upon investigating the residence, Johnson was located and arrested without incident. He was then transported to Lehigh County for processing.
“While nothing can undo the harm that was done to the Hernandez family, I hope this arrest brings a measure of closure to the family,” said Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal for the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.
The Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force is a team of law enforcement officers led by U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. The task force’s objective is to seek out and arrest violent crime fugitives. Membership agencies include the Philadelphia Police Department, Pennsylvania State Parole Officers, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Attorney General Agents, Immigration Customs Enforcement, Chester Police Department, Bucks County Sheriffs, and Delaware County Sheriffs.
