U.S. Marshals in FL Capture Suspect Wanted in NY for Firearms Violation, Leading State Police on 19-Mile High-Speed Car Chase

For immediate release

Albany, NY – Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Regional Fugitive Task Force on Monday afternoon arrested Naveah Jackson who was wanted by the Catskill Police Department for a firearms violation and by the New York State Police for leading them on a 19-mile, high-speed chase that started in Greene County and ended in New Paltz, resulting in a multi-car accident on Jan. 30.  Jackson fled the scene after the crash.

The Catskill Police Department requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals in locating and arresting Jackson.  Investigative efforts determined that Jackson fled the Hudson Valley and was hiding in Pine Hills, Florida.

Task force members conducted surveillance operations in Pine Hills, Florida, and were able to confirm that Jackson was in fact there.
