134 Fugitives Arrested by U.S. Marshals Service Nevada Violent Offender Task Force in the Second Quarter

Las Vegas, NV – The U.S. Marshals Service Nevada Violent Offender Task Force successfully took 134 violent fugitives off the streets in the second quarter alone. This relentless multi-agency effort brings the task force's mid-year total to 283 safe apprehensions. These arrests cleared 316 outstanding warrants in Nevada and other jurisdictions.

The apprehended fugitives were wanted on a variety of offenses, this quarter charges included four (4) for homicide, five (5) for robbery, ten (10) for aggravated assault, six (6) for burglary, twenty-two (22) for drug offenses, three (3) for escape, twenty-three (23) for firearm offenses, and twenty-five (25) for sex offenses. Additionally, seven (7) missing children were safely recovered.

Notable Arrests:

Keith Chatman was arrested in Las Vegas on April 28, 2026. He was wanted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for Sexual Assault Against Child Under 14.
Deandre Parker was arrested in Las Vegas on April 1, 2026. He was wanted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Prostitution and Coercion Constituting Domestic Violence with Trest or Use of Physical Force.
Ramchand Rattan was arrested in Las Vegas on May 18, 2026. He was wanted in Saint George, UT for Terroristic Threats.
Akonidunei Phillipis was arrested in Las Vegas on May 14, 2026. He was wanted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for Sexual Assault Against a Child Under 14 (3 Counts), Incest (2 counts), and Battery to Commit Sexual Assault.
Dontaya Morales was arrested in Vista, Ca on May 14, 2026. He was wanted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for Battery to Commit Sexual Assault Uon Victim 16+, Kidnapping 1st Degree, and Coercion Constituting Domestic Violence - Sexually Motivated.
Vincent Herrera was arrested in Las Vegas on June 29, 2026. He was wanted by the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Department for Attempted Deliberate Homicide.
Aldo Ortiz was arrested in Las Vegas on June 28, 2026. He was wanted by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department for Domestic Battery by Strangulation (2 counts) and Coercion Domestic Violence with Threat or Use of Physical Force.
David Vander Meer was arrested in Las Vegas on June 22, 2026. He was wanted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Saint George, UT for Homicide.

The U.S. Marshals Service leverages a nationwide network of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies with a single, critical mission: apprehending high-threat fugitives. U.S. Marshal Gary Schofield said, “Every arrest represents our unwavering commitment to public safety. Working alongside our law enforcement partners, we will continue to pursue violent offenders.”

The Nevada Violent Offender Task Force comprises of law enforcement officers from the U.S. Marshals Service; Carson City Sheriff’s Office; Boulder City Police Department; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; City of Las Vegas DPS; City of North Las Vegas City Marshals; Clark County District Attorney’s Office; Douglas County Sheriff’s Office; Drug Enforcement Administration; Henderson Police Department; Homeland Security Investigations; Immigration and Customs Enforcement; Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department; Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office; Lyon County Sheriff’s Office; Mineral County Sheriff’s Office; Nevada Department of Corrections; Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles; Nevada Gaming Control Board; Nevada State Police; North Las Vegas Police Department; Nye County Sheriff’s Office; Reno Police Department; Sparks Police Department; Washoe County District Attorney’s Office; and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
