Suspect Wanted in Road Rage Shooting Incident in Medina Arrested in Jackson

Medina, OH – Yesterday, late in the afternoon, the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) responded to a shooting incident on I-71 northbound, approximately 3 miles north of the Rt. 83 exit. The victims of the shooting were an adult male and female, one victim sustained minor injuries.
Members of OSHP utilized the Flock camera system and were able to locate the suspect vehicle in the area of Strip Ave. in North Canton. Jackson Police, OSHP, and members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) all responded to the area. The suspect in the shooting, Thassanai Suwannasin, 26, was located in the 6400 block of Strip Ave. NW in North Canton. He was arrested for felonious assault without incident.
Additionally, two firearms were recovered from his vehicle.
Due to the ongoing investigation no further details will be released at this time.
