U.S. Marshals Task Force Captures Dyer County Jail Escapee

Memphis, TN – Herman Parker was arrested this morning by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

On April 19th, while on trusty status, he walked away from the Dyer County Jail. He had a felony drug charge and a felony escape charge out of Dyer County. He had a federal supervised release violation for felon in possession of a firearm. He has warrants out of Shelby County for evading arrest and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.

Parker was found hiding in a closet at a residence at the 3700 block of Marvin Street, Memphis, TN. He was taken into custody and taken to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office without further incident.

The Task Force issued a press release on April 19th regarding this fugitive, seeking information on his whereabouts.

The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) is a multi-agency task force with divisions in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. The Western Tennessee Division of the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force has offices in Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Madison County Sheriff's Deputies, Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, ATF, and the Tennessee Department of Corrections Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
