Youngstown, OH –  Earlier this afternoon, members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Dwight Watson, 56.  Watson was wanted by police in Boston, Massachusetts for murder.

Denver, CO – The U.S. Marshals Service Colorado Violent Offender Task Force located and arrested a Houston homicide suspect late Monday afternoon in Denver. 

Cleveland, OH – Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Amira Duncan, 24, and Dajhawn Taylor, 27. Both Duncan and Taylor were wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder.

Atlanta, GA - The United States Marshals Service (USMS) has captured interstate fugitive sexual predator, Gustav Schilling. Schilling was booked into the Fulton County Jail and is now awaiting his day in court.

San Antonio, TX – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) in the Western District of Texas received the Group Task Force (District) Award and the Administrative Employee of the Year Award at the 41st Director’s Honorary Awards Ceremony held Jan. 18 in the Great Hall, Robert F. Kennedy Main Justice Building at the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) arrested 75,846 fugitives (28,324 on federal and 47,522 on state and local warrants) in Fiscal Year 2022. On average, the agency arrested 303 fugitives per day (based on 250 operational days).

That number breaks down as follows:

Youngstown, OH – Members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Andre McCoy, 22.  McCoy has been wanted since March 25, 2021, when he was indicted on charges of aggravated murder, attempted murder, felonious assault, and aggravated burglary, all with firearms specifications.  

Cleveland, OH – Earlier today the U.S. Marshals Service Missing Child Unit (USMS MCU) and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) were able to locate and recover Elena Kalvitz (8), an endangered and missing child from Henry County, OH. The child was recovered safe in the 3400 block of W 95th St. in Cleveland after a search began yesterday afternoon. 

Hobbs, N.M. – On Thursday, January 19, the United States Marshals Service District of New Mexico – Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (USMS-SWIFT) in collaboration with the Lea County Drug Task Force, and the Lea County Sheriff’s Office captured a fugitive wanted for a federal warrant in Hobbs.

Jackson, TN – Charles Wilson, 31, who was wanted for murder in Jackson was captured in Opelousas, Louisiana last week by the U.S. Marshals.

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott is pleased to announce that Katie Eichenauer, Executive Director of Believe In Dreams, has been awarded the Citizen of the Year award as part of the U.S. Marshals Service 41st Director’s Honorary Awards.  The award was presented earlier today by US Marshals Service Director Ronald Davis at the Robert F.

St. Louis, MO - The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) in the Eastern District of Missouri are looking for five inmates who escaped Tuesday night from the St. Francois County Detention Center in Farmington.

The five are:

Cleveland, OH – Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) located and arrested Titus Crittendon, 26. Crittendon was wanted by the Toledo Police Department for aggravated murder.

Concord, NH – The U.S. Marshals Service – NH Joint Fugitive Task Force is pleased to announce that Nov. 30 “Fugitive of the Week,” Craig Pearson, was arrested Sunday in Manchester after trying to evade police.

Washington, D.C. – A Pennsylvania man who was elevated to the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) 15 Most Wanted list in June 2022 was arrested early this morning in Broward County, Florida, after he fled the scene of a bar fight and was stopped by local police.

Portland, ME - The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Maine Violent Offender Task Force and Biddeford Police Department announce the arrest of Michael Scott, 41, of Wells, Maine.

Albuquerque, NM –  On Tuesday, January 10, the United States Marshals Service District of New Mexico – Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (USMS-SWIFT) captured a fugitive at a motel, in Northeast Albuquerque. 

Brandon Sanchez, 29, was wanted for a federal probation violation, with the underlying charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. 

Cleveland, OH – The U.S. Marshals Service, along with the United Pastors in Mission, have partnered together to launch the Fugitive Safe Surrender Hotline, which will be operational in Cuyahoga County during the months of January and February 2023.
